The new Ambassador of the Slovak Republic meets with President Nasheed
The new Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Maldives, Marian Tomasik, presented his credentials to President Nasheed.
The President and the new Ambassador discussed bilateral relations and the strengthening of relations between the two countries, including the strengthening of cooperation on tourism.
Nasheed The President also spoke of the attempt of the Maldives to join the Convention for Human Rights United Nations and sought the support of the Slovak Republic to support his candidacy.
The President said that human rights were the main agenda of democratic reform in Maldives.
Ambassador Tomasik assured the President remains fully committed to pursue the strengthening of the relationship between the two countries.
